Step 1
Create a new document (Ctrl+N). Set size to 640x300px.
Step 2
Grab the Gradient Tool (G) and set the gradient to a nice red (#a23838) to a darker red (#922b2a). Move the Radial Gradient starting at the bottom right corner and ending at the top left corner of the document.
Step 3
Set the foreground color to white (#ffffff). Grab the Rectange Tool. When a shape is made with the Rectangle Tool, it is made with a path. The path around the object is what makes the shape a vector. Draw a rectangle that nearly covers a photo. Transform Path (Ctrl+T) and change degree to -4.
Step 4
Grab the Direct Selection Tool (A) and select (shift+left mouse button) the two bottom corners of the shape. Now move them bit to right. Grab the Convert Point Tool which is located underneath the Pen Tool and Edit the both corners by click on a point and move the tool pointer. You will get two stripes. This one describes the form of the path and can be moved with the Convert Point Tool. Try to move the pathpoints with the Direct Selection Tool (A)to get the shape looking like this.
Step 5
Now let's create the shadow. Create a new layer under the white photo layer. Grab the Polygonal Lasso Tool and make a selection like this.
Step 6
Choose Select > Modify > Feather... (Ctrl+F6) and set radius to 10px. Now fill the selection with black (#000000).
Step 7
Insert your photo to the document. Place it over the white photo layer. Now hold Ctrl and click on the white photo shape. Make now a Layer Mask to your photo. Then downsize the photo for about 10px with the Transform Path (Ctrl+T)tool. Push Shift+Alt while scaling.
Step 8
Choose a tape you like. I used the yellow one. Move the tape to your document and lay it over all layers.
It's done. I hope you enjoyed this Tutorial. Don't forget to comment!
